Project 55

This is a two tone shrug. The shrug hugs your body for comfort and warmth on those early or late summer days that come with a hint of chill. The design is also really chic--I want to make a few in different color combinations!

Finished 06/04/09.
Pattern found in: Fitted Knits, "Two-Tone rubbed shrug."
Modifications: I took a risk by using wool for the body and the cottonease yarn for the rubbed parts because I liked the color combination. It's still probably a bad idea to mix fibers, but it worked out okay in this case. I also ran out of the cotton yarn so I bound off with a off-pink wool. This accident was a boon--I got a decorative edging that tied together the different fibers.

About Me

My photo
This was my intro from when I first started this blog: "I've graduated from college but now I am confused. So I started this blog to write out my confusions about what comes next and how I cope with the uncertainties of adulthood by reading. In other words, this blog is whiny, self-indulgent and pointless since I hear that adulthood takes care of itself." Well, adulthood did indeed take care of itself and now I am an artist and an aspiring attorney specializing in intellectual property law. Nothing went according to "plan" but I am super happy how things turned out.
